We travel many different paths during our journey.  No matter who we are in terms of worldly status, or where we are in our faith journey, no one escapes traversing the paths life presents us.  Some of those paths lead to questions such as, why am I stuck here Lord?  Or how do I get away from this point in my Life?  Or perhaps, how do I duplicate this point in my life? Some paths we travel lead to unquestionable blessing.  The paths are found both in the valley of fear and struggle, and on the mountain top of ease and success; and somewhere in between the two.   No matter what path you’re currently on, one glorious and undeniable revelation proves true.  Jehovah Shammah (See page 6) is there with you.

Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.”(NASB) Acknowledge is translated from the Hebrew word yada; and its definition is to know, to ascertain by seeing, observation, care, and recognition.  GOD WALK, through encouragement, helps us to see, know, observe and recognize God with each step we take on every path we travel.  As we explore the different paths of the journey we experience, God will make our paths straight.  Straight in this scripture is the Hebrew word yashar, and means to make right, pleasant, and prosperous.

Why does God bestow upon us such a powerful and blessed promise? GOD WALK answers this simply by encouraging us to be the light in darkness we are called to be.  Although at times it seems lonely on each path we travel, our friends, family and associates, both on and off the faith spectrum, are watching how we traverse our journey.

The Bible says the multitudes flocked to see Messiah because of the signs and wonders he performed.  Even the most ardent non-believers came to get healed or touched in some way, and became believers.  It’s not any different today.  The culture we live in needs to see God in action, not just hear about him.  Messiah in John 14:12, “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.” (NASB)

Our world evaluates us by the outcomes of each path we travel.  Romans 8:37 reads, “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us” (NIV).   1 Corinthians 15:57, “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (ESV)       1 John 5:5, “Who overcomes the world? Is it not the person who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?”(ISV)  More than a Conqueror, Victor, and Overcomer describe who we, as believers, are to be; and who the world will be attracted to.  The paths of our journey become our training and testing ground.  GOD WALK encourages us on each step of each path to be the person we are called to be so we all can serve God’s purpose for us-to be His light in darkness.

GOD WALK, like other devotionals, inspires and informs.  In addition, GOD WALK brings victory and helps you overcome every obstacle encountered in the paths of life you traverse.  Through encouragement, the book helps you conquer so you can share the knowledge to help others in your immediate family, social and business networks.  Thus fulfilling Matthew 5: 14-16, “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Imagine a truck full of peace, joy, blessing, love, hope, success, purpose and every other thing needed for every path we travel.  It’s parked on the side of the road, we can see it, we can touch it, we hear of the truck visiting others dropping off blessings.  Rarely does it visit the path we’re on.  GOD WALK helps provide the keys to drive the truck to wherever we, and others close to us, are.

How does GOD WALK accomplish its goal?

The foundational principle employed by GOD WALK is knowing God intimately through victorious praise supported by Holy Scripture. Some of the documented blessings God has already brought forth through GOD WALK include but are not limited to:

  • Better family life
  • Increased faith
  • Closer relationship with God
  • Healing and Better health
  • Mercy in the judicial system
  • Increased happiness
  • Enjoying the fruit of the Spirit
  • Increased level of peace
  • Less stress and struggle
  • Seeing God’s will as it is in Heaven applied to your life situations

In his excellent book, PUSH, Jurgen Matthesius writes, “Praise releases the power of God into our lives and situations because it’s a declaration of his majesty and sovereignty over the Earth.”  GOD WALK expands on this thought by declaring that God is located in the tomorrow!

Today has already been created, and with it are the blessings and answers to prayer God intended for today.  Through his infinite and omnipotent power, God is in the process of creating tomorrow and future days; and the blessings that go with those days.  It doesn’t matter what path we’re travelling.  If we praise God for the solutions to each path’s problems today, the answers to our prayers will come in the future.

Hebrews 11:1 reads, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”  Evidence in that scripture comes from the Greek word elegchos, which means proof, conviction.  GOD WALK praises the things not seen.  Our Faith is the delivery system.  We praise with conviction and knowledge that the proof exists; faith will deliver it. A confidence all believers share is that God is bound by his Word (Hebrews 6:17, Psalm 119:89, 1 Peter 1:25, Matthew 24:35).

Our praise opens the door for Messiah to intercede for us in heaven (Hebrews 7:25, Psalm 100:4, Romans 8:34).  God provides us a powerful video to play over and over again on each and every path we travel.  As we hit play by our praise, Messiah is at Jehovah’s right hand interceding and advocating for us. Wow! Praise God!

Another of the foundational pillars of GOD WALK is getting to know God on a deeper level.  Psalm 42:7, “Deep calls to deep at the roar of your waterfalls; all your breakers and your waves have gone over me.”  Do you hear the roar of the waterfalls?

Martin Luther said, “The Bible is alive, it speaks to me; it has feet, it runs after me; it has hands, it lays hold of me.  Saint Ambrose puts it this way, “As in paradise, God walks in the Holy Scriptures, seeking man.” GOD WALK emphasizes the attributes and titles of God the Biblical Word provides us.  Each devotion explains a different title and/or attribute and applies it to a path of life.

God desires us to address Him by his proper title and attribute during prayer.  For example, for provision, we pray to and call upon Jehovah Jireh (see page 153).  Would we ever call a plumber to perform brain surgery? Likewise, why call on the Dread Warrior (page 157) for a healing (pages 299, 197 and 66)?

GOD WALK comes from GodKnights Press.  GodKnight’s vision is victorious prayer.  There are many secrets found in the original languages of the Bible which put in practice, bring us success.  (As examples see pages 26, 111 and 137). One of the secrets the Bible speaks about is victorious prayer.  (See Matthew 6:9-13; John 16:23; Philippians 4:6; and Mark 11:22-25). GOD WALK encourages the reader by practicing all of these vital ingredients to obtain victory.  More information can be found at GodFound.org.

Although GOD WALK is structured as a daily devotional, many have read it like any other book-more pages than one per day.  Also, many have indicated that GOD WALK serves as a resource that they will refer to many times after the initial reading.

Thank you for considering GOD WALK.  Our prayer is that your paths be smooth.  One covenant we should make is when you see fruit from GOD WALK, like many others, please post them at Godknights.com so they can be an encouragement to others.  Remember, you are a victor, an overcomer, more than a conqueror, and light in darkness!  God Bless.
